Investigation into the scene of an accident which occurred at approximately 6:05 a.m. on Monday, April 16, revealed that a vehicle driven by Charleah Redman, 24, Clinton, sideswiped the guard rail after going off the road to the right. There was damage on Redman’s vehicle, but the guard rail sustained no damage.
Investigation into the scene of an accident which occurred at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, revealed that a vehicle driven by David Howard Jr, 18, Clinton, was approaching the intersection of Business 51 south of Clinton at Illinois Route 51 when his vehicle ran the front end into the rear end of the other vehicle driven by Glenda Church, 64, Decatur. No injuries were reported and both vehicles were drivable. Howard was issued citations for Operating Uninsured Motor Vehicle and Failure To Reduce Speed.
Himanshu Rana, 27, Bloomington, was issued a citation for Failure To Yield One Full Lane Upon Approaching Emergency Vehicle. Rana posted his IL Drivers License as bond and was released.
John Strum, 19, Farmer City, was issued a citation for Speeding (85 mph in a 55 mph zone). Strum was issued a notice to appear and was released.
Ryan Matthews, 20, Nokomis, was issued a citation for Speeding (75 mph in a 55 mph zone). Matthews posted the necessary bond and was released.
