Illinois Gains Jobs Thanks To Wisconsin Governor

Illinois' economy is gaining momentum thanks to policy decisions by Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker.  That's according to Anne Sayers with the Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters, who says Walker has been called the worst governor in Wisconsin's history.

Sayers claims Illinois has also gained jobs in wind energy because Walker, quote, "complicated the rules around wind sightings."  Sayers says that discouraged wind businesses from wanting to build farms in the state, which drove jobs across the border.  To make her point, Sayer points out that Illinois has 614 megawatts of wind energy coming online while Wisconsin only has five.  Walker will be in Illinois tomorrow, addressing members of the Illinois chamber of Commerce.  ICC Executive Director Doug Whitley says Walker has a great record when it comes to restructuring a budget and a pension system.
