The Tuscola Warriors dropped the Clinton Maroons 9-5 in an Okaw Valley Conference matchup. The Maroons led 5-0 after three frames but nine unanswered runs by the Warriors did in Maroons. Marshall Sprague took the loss on the mound for the Maroons, who came in in relief of starting pitcher Kyle Birk. Birk went 3 2/3 innings giving up five runs on six hits with two walks and a strikeout. Birk finished the ball game giving up three earned runs on six hits with two walks and a strikeout.

Birk was 2 for 3 at the plate with a pair of RBIs and Josh Merrick added an RBI double for the Maroons.


Clinton is 9-8 on the season and 1-2 in conference action. Tuscola improves to 12-8 overall and 1-2 in confence play.
