A Lincoln man has pleaded guilty to aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse.

Douglas Benz of Lincoln has been sentenced to six years in prison for the class II felony Tuesday. Charges of a class I felony of Criminal Sexual Assault and a class II felony of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse have been dismissed.

Benz will serve two years of mandatory supervised release and will be fined $50-thousand dollars.

"Given the nature of the victim's desire to avoid a trial, we believe this is an appropriate resolution," First Assistant State's Attorney in Logan County, Jonathon Wright said in a statement released Tuesday.

Benz will begin serving the sentence immediately.
