Jim Watson Eyes Congressional Seat

Jacksonville's state Representative says he's interested in being selected as the GOP nominee in the new 13th Congressional District.  State Representative Jim Watson notes he hasn't made a commitment yet but wouldn't mind being in a position to do more.  He acknowledges there are other good people eyeing the seat.  Watson doesn't currently live in the 13th District but says he'd be willing to make the move if he were to run and win.  Right now, he's slated to run unopposed in the 100th State Representative District. That district shares six counties with the 13th Congressional District.  Fourteen GOP county chairmen representing the new 13th are in charge of selecting a candidate to run in the November election.  Congressman Tim Johnson announced his retirement after winning the March 20th primary.
