Ottawa Woman Wants To Challenge Congressman Kinzinger

An Ottawa woman wants to square off against Congressman Adam Kinzinger in the November election.  Wanda Rohl says she's a progressive Democrat who'll represent the values of the 16th district, something she says Kinzinger fails to do.

Rohl says she still needs to raise money for her bid to unseat Kinzinger.

Rohl is a social worker who says she's pro-labor, pro-woman, and against discrimination against the poor.  About 45 people who met in Dekalb Saturday chose her to run against Kinzinger, who's set to run uncontested in the upcoming election.  The Democratic Party hasn't chosen Rohl as a candidate.  She's asking the 14 Democratic Party chairs in the district to rally behind her and put her name on the November ballot.
