A tractor accident accident in DeWitt County Sunday afternoon left over 950 Ameren customers without power.

A tractor pulling a planter in the Clinton area, hit a wire which broke a cross arm. According Leigh Morris, Senior Communications Executive with Ameren, the outage was reported at approximately 2:15 pm and lasted two hours. Permanent repairs were needed, but power was able to be restored prior to the completion of those repairs.

DeWitt County authorities were unable to report the location of the accident.
