(Chicago, IL)  --  Alfonso Soriano hit a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the 10th inning to give the Cubs a 3-2 win over the Cardinals.  Bryan LaHair clubbed a game-tying solo home run in the bottom of the ninth for Chicago, which has won three of its last four on the heels of a six-game slide.  James Russell tossed a perfect frame in relief to register the victory.  Matt Holliday's two-run homer in the top of the eighth inning accounted for the Cardinals' lone runs in defeat.  Fernando Salas was saddled with the loss for St. Louis, which has dropped four-of-six.

(Oakland, CA)  --  Kurt Suzuki hit a pinch-hit RBI double in the eighth to lift the Athletics to a 2-0 win over the White Sox.  Eric Sogard followed Suzuki's knock with a run-scoring single.  Tommy Milone went eight frames and allowed just three hits while striking out five to pick up the win.  Grant Balfour closed the door in the ninth for his fifth save as Oakland won for the second time in three games.  Gavin Floyd suffered the tough-luck loss for Chicago, allowing a single run over seven-and-a-third innings of work.  Floyd struck out six and gave up just two hits for the White Sox, who saw their four-game winning streak end.
