(St. Louis, MO) -- The Kings grabbed control of their Western Conference Semifinal series against the Blues with a dominating 5-2 victory in Game Two. Jeff Carter and Mike Richards also scored in the first for L.A., which heads home up two-games-to-none in the best-of-seven set. Andy McDonald cut into the Kings lead just 18 seconds into the second period but Justin Williams added to Los Angeles' lead just over a minute later. Jonathan Quick made 27 saves in the victory, which included 14 roughing penalties and four game misconducts. The teams were a combined 0-for-15 on the power play. Matt D'Agostini [[ DAG-uh-STEE-nee ]] potted a goal for St. Louis, while Brian Elliott was roughed up for all five goals on 21 shots.

(Undated) -- The Washington Capitals picked up a Game Two win in the Stanley Cup playoffs Monday night. Alex Ovechkin's power-play goal with 7:27 left in the third lifted the Capitals to a 3-2 win over the Rangers in their East semifinal series. Braden Holtby stopped 26 shots to help Washington even the best-of-seven series at a game apiece.
