The Monticello Sages and Argenta-Oreana Bombers locked up in a pitchers duel Thursday afternoon. Michael Cummins went the distance on Senior Day at Argenta-Oreana High School. Cummins out-dueled Nick Stokowski. Cummins gave up only one run on three hits with three walks and three strikeouts. His only run given up was a mammoth home run by Ross Reeder. A-O produced just as little as the Sages offensively, but thanks to a three base error in the fifth inning, the Bombers were able to scratch across two runs, which would be all they would need to put the Sages away. The Bombers improve to 18-5 overall and 6-3 in the Okaw Valley Conference. The Sages drop to 16-7 overall and 5-4 in Okaw play. The Bombers next ball game is next week at Decatur St. Teresa, the Sages host St. Joseph-Ogden tomorrow afternoon.
