The Clinton Maroons edged the Sullivan Redksin Thursday afternoon by a score of 3-2. Josh Merrick and Josiah Davidson locked in a pitchers duel for the afternoon, as the Maroons used a 3-run fifth to edge the Redskins in an Okaw Valley Conference matchup.

Josh Merrick went the distance on the hill two runs, one earned on three hits with two walks and 11 strikeouts. Davidson went five innings for Sullivan allowing all three runs on just two hits with four walks and seven strikeouts.

Gregg Osgood came through for the Maroons with at go-ahead two-run single in the fifth to put the Maroons up 3-2.

Sullivan drops to 19-8 on the season and 5-3 in the Okaw. The Maroons improve to 16-11 and 5-4 in Okaw play.
