Cubs Hold Off Dodgers

Alfonso Soriano went 3-for-3 with two RBI to help lead the Cubs to a 5-4 win over the Dodgers.  David DeJesus had a single, double and a triple for Chicago, which built a three-run lead and held on to win the opener of the three-game set at Wrigley Field.  Paul Maholm [[ mah-HAH-lum ]] pitched six innings of one-run ball for his third win and Rafael Dolis hung on in the ninth for his second save.  Chad Billingsley allowed four runs in six frames to fall to 2-and-2 with the loss.  Jerry Hairston Jr. went 3-for-4 with a solo homer and two RBI for Los Angeles.  The Dodgers have lost three-of-four.
