A local softball team had a routine trip home interrupted Monday afternoon.

At approximately 3:38 P.M., a bus transporting students from a Bloomington school, returning home from a canceled softball game made a stop at the railroad tracks on Route 51 North in Clinton. The bus was rear-ended by a truck and the truck was totalled.

No injuries were reported.

There were 20 refusals for medical treatment from those on the bus. Those 18 years old and under were required to be taken to the Dr. John Warner Hospital for medical treatment. The bus driver was retained at the hospital for precautionary reasons. A pregnant woman on the bus was taken to OSF in Bloomington for precautionary treatment as well.
