Illinois high schools will not be incorporating a shot clock in its basketball programs. Monmouth-Roseville Coach Chuck Grant says he's a bit disappointed by the news but understands why some teams wouldn't want it.

The shot clock has been used in college games for many years, but according to a survey conducted by The National Federation of State High School Associations, Illinois coaches and organizations didn't show a strong desire to use the clock.
