As heard on WEZC and WHOW the Clinton Maroons defeated the Monticello Sages by a score of 4-1 at Monticello High School.  Zach Pate went 1-1 at the plate with a double and scored two runs. Josh Merrick went 1-1 with an RBI double. Merrick also picked up the win on the mound going seven innings, giving up one run on five hits, walking two and striking out nine. Nick Stokowski got the loss for the Sages, pitching four innings, giving up two runs on two hits while walking seven and striking out six. Jacob Williams had the lone run batted in with a double, going 1-1.

The Maroons finish the regular season with a record of 17-12 and 6-5 in the Okaw.

The Sages dropped to 16-11 and 5-6 in conference play.

The Maroons next WHOW broadcast will be May 17th against Olympia.

The Sages next WEZC broadcast will be May 16th against either Warrensburg-Lathem or Maroa-Forsyth.
