Johnson Takes Southern 500, Gives HMS 200th Win

Jimmie Johnson drove the 48-car to victory lane in Saturday's Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway, giving owner Rick Hendrick his long-awaited 200th career win.  The five-time Sprint Cup Series champion led the most laps with 133 but had to gamble on fuel in the late-stages and then held off Denny Hamlin and Tony Stewart in a green-white-checkered finish for the win.  Johnson and Hendrick Motorsports also ended a 16-race winless streak.  Johnson gave the racing organization its 199th win in Cup last October at Kansas Speedway.  Hamlin was the runner up after passing Stewart on the final restart.  Kyle Busch and Martin Truex Jr. rounded out the top-five.
