New Information In Deadly Danville Shooting

Danville Police have new details surrounding a deadly shooting yesterday.  They say they believe Larry Carter Junior likely knew the person who shot him early Sunday morning.  Public Safety Director Larry Thomason says a car apparently stopped in the area where Carter was walking and a man got out of the car and exchanged words with Carter before shooting him.  The car then fled from the scene.  Authorities are looking for the public's help in solving the crime.  If you have any information or saw anything suspicious in the Williams and Robinson Street area around 4:45 Sunday morning, you're asked to call Danville Police detectives.   Or, you can call Vermilion County Crime Stoppers at (217) 446-TIPS.and leave the information anonymously.  It is the city's first homicide of the year.
