>>Cards Place Jay On DL

(St. Louis, MO)  --  The Cardinals have placed outfielder Jon Jay on the 15-day disabled list with a sprained right shoulder.  Jay missed six games last month after hitting the outfield wall during an April 19th game against Cincinnati.  He returned on April 27th.  Jay is batting .343 with a pair of homers and eight runs batted in.  St. Louis recalled outfielder Shane Robinson from Triple-A Memphis to fill the roster spot.
