The Clinton Maroons ended their season Thursday afternoon at the Maroa-Forsyth Regional with a 14-4 loss to Olympia.
Just about every aspect of the game was lacking Thursday as the Spartans hit the lights out and lit the Maroons up for 14 runs, and drew 10 walks. The Maroons' Josh Merrick had a tough outing as he went just 1 2/3 innings, walking six, struck out one and gave up seven runs on four hits.
Steven Evans led the Maroons going 3-3 with a double and an RBI. Marshall Sprague added an RBI double.
Sawyer Howard went the complete five innings, giving up four runs on seven hits, walking three and striking out six. Mike Hainline went 2-4 with three RBIs.
Olympia improves to 13-18 on the season and moves on to take on the Monticello Sages Saturday morning at 10 am for the Regional Championship.
The Maroons end their season at 17-13.
