Construction is being suspended over the holiday weekend. The Illinois Department of Transportation wants to reduce congestion and create a smooth traffic flow as people hit the road. All non-emergency road projects will be lifted starting at 3 p.m. tomorrow. Crews will be back at work next Tuesday.
