A judge has ordered a Chicago woman accused of stealing a fire department ambulance from a hospital held on $25,000 bond.

Cassie Weathersby was charged with stealing the vehicle, driving on a suspended license and driving under the influence of alcohol.

Authorities say the 30-year-old woman allegedly stole the ambulance from a hospital on the city's South Side and crashed it a few blocks away around 11 p.m. Sunday.

She appeared in bond court Monday.

Weathersby was not injured in the crash and was taken into custody.

A message left Sunday at a number listed for Weathersby wasn't immediately returned.
