GOVERNOR PAT QUINN IS HINTING HE PROBABLY WON’T SIGN THE GAMBLING BILL LAWMAKERS APPROVED INTO LAW.

THE MEASURE SETS UP FIVE NEW CASINOS IN ILLINOIS…AND ALLOWS SLOTS AT THE HORSE RACING TRACKS. BUT GOVERNOR QUINN SAYS HE STILL HAS CONCERNS THE BILL DOESN’T HAVE HIGH ENOUGH ETHICAL STANDARDS.

GOVERNOR QUINN HAS SAID HE’D LIKE TO SEE A BAN ON CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTIONS FROM CASINO OWNERS AND STRONGER REGULATIONS OVER THE INDUSTRY. GAMING SUPPORTERS ARE WORKING ON ADDITIONAL LEGISLATION TO TRY AND ADDRESS THOSE CONCERNS.
