>>Reds' Cueto Threatens Grievance Over All-Star Snub

(Undated)  --  Cincinnati Reds pitcher Johnny Cueto [[ KWAY-toe ]] isn't taking his snub from the National League All-Star roster too well.  Cueto claims that NL manager and former St. Louis Cardinals skipper Tony La Russa left him off the roster for personal reasons.  The Reds hurler has the backing of his manager Dusty Baker, who told the "Cincinnati Enquirer" the move could be related to an on-field brawl the two teams had in 2010.  According to the "Post-Dispatch," Cueto's agent Bryce Dixon has emailed MLB Players Association executive director Michael Weiner threatening to file a grievance about the issue.

(St. Petersburg, FL)  --  The Home Run Derby squads are set.  New York Yankees second baseman and American League captain Robinson Cano [[ cah-NO ]] has picked his teammates for next Monday's competition in Kansas City.  The reigning Derby champ has selected Detroit Tigers first baseman Prince Fielder, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim slugger Mark Trumbo and Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Jose Bautista.  Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder and National League captain Matt Kemp made his picks on Sunday.  The NL squad will also include St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Carlos Beltran, Colorado Rockies outfielder Carlos Gonzalez and Miami Marlins outfielder Giancarlo Stanton.
