New Tax Credit for Businesses That Hire Veterans

 Illinois businesses now have more incentive to hire veterans that have served in Afghanistan and Iraq.  Governor Quinn says it's shameful that the vets haven't been able to find work.

Congressman Danny Davis says Governor Quinn is keeping his promise to put veterans to work.

Congressman Davis adds both large corporations and small businesses will benefit from a new tax credit when they hire veterans.

Governor Quinn signed a bill which gives employers up to five thousand dollars for hiring the post 9-11 vets, who face a 30-percent unemployment rate nationwide.  Officials say this is just the first step toward improving the lives of veterans.  The new law goes into effect immediately.
