Emergency manager Teresa Barnett says there are many signs to look for when out in hot temperatures. Signs to watch out for include headache, lack of sweating and confusion.

Barnett adds DeWitt County is still under a drought and reminds people that most of the county is under a fire ban. She encourages people to be careful when using grills or fire of any sort. Waynesville, Farmer City, Clinton and the state parks have all banned open fires. The bans are to help stop tragic events such as barn and house fires.
