Ryan Newman started on the pole and won last year's July race at New Hampshire. He has won at New Hampshire three times. Tony Stewart won last weekend at Daytona to improve to fifth in the Cup Standings. Matt Kenseth holds a 25-point lead over Dale Earnhardt Jr. atop the standings.
