You'll find world championship barbecue down in Murphysboro, Illinois, where owners of two separate restaurants have teamed up to win dozens of titles.  Pat's BBQ owner Pat Burke says he and Mike Mills, at 17th Street Bar and Grill, imagined top 50 would be great for their first world championship in Memphis in 1989.

The two competed under the name Apple City Barbecue and later started their own businesses.   They won 67 contests together.  Burke says the key to their "Que" is the perfect combination of meat, heat, dry rub, and sauces.  And while he and Mills aren't cooking together anymore, Burke says they're still the best of friends.
