After waiting out a three-hour-41-minute rain delay, the Cubs pasted the Diamondbacks, 8-1.  Alfonso Soriano led the hit parade going 4-for-4 with five RBI and three runs scored.  The left fielder connected on a solo and three-run homer for Chicago, which has won three-of-four.  Paul Maholm pitched seven innings of one-run ball to pick up the win.  Ian Kennedy was rocked for six runs over five-plus innings to suffer the loss for Arizona.  Jason Kubel left the game in the seventh inning with an apparent injury.
