Corey Hart and Aramis Ramirez also plated a run each for the Brewers, who have alternated wins and losses since the All-Star break. Randy Wolf scattered eight hits and two runs over six-and-two-thirds innings as he upped his mark to 3-and-6. Francisco Rodriguez closed it out for his second save. Jon Jay doubled in a run and Carlos Beltran knocked in the other run on a sac-fly for the Cards, who have lost four-of-five since the break. Joe Kelly yielded three runs, two earned, in six frames as he fell to 1-and-2. Matt Holliday and Ryan Braun both left with injuries

(Chicago, IL) -- Carlos Lee clubbed a grand slam as the Marlins outslugged the Cubs, 9-5, in the first of a three-game series. Omar Infante went 3-for-5 with a homer and three RBI, while Hanley Ramirez added a solo blast. Anibal Sanchez struck out seven over seven strong innings to improve to 5-and-6. Jeff Baker hit a solo homer for Chicago, which had its winning streak stopped at four. Travis Wood was lit up for eight runs and eight hits in four-and-two-thirds to fall to 4-and-4.

Alejandro De Aza added a pair of RBI for Chicago, which has won three-of-five since the break. Philip Humber allowed two runs across six innings to pick up the win and Addison Reed notched his 15th save. Kelly Shoppach hit a two-run homer while Carl Crawford, Adrian Gonzalez and Will Middlebrooks each plated a run with a single for Boston. Jon Lester allowed six runs in four frames to suffer the loss. The Red Sox had won three of their previous four since the All-Star break.

(Boston, MA) -- The Chicago White Sox have placed right-handed pitcher Gavin Floyd on the 15-day disabled list with right elbow tendinitis. Floyd threw seven-and-two-third scoreless innings in his last outing on July 7th versus Toronto. He is 7-and-8 with a 4.54 ERA and 91 strikeouts in 17 starts this season. This is Floyd's first trip to the disabled list in his career.
