The DeWitt County Board has a new member.

Jay Wickenhauser recently stepped down because he had moved out of his district, and last night, Kelly Riggs was appointed as the newest member of the County Board.

Riggs says this is the fulfillment of something he has wanted to do for some time. He previously attempted to run for office for the City of Clinton.

Riggs explains his goal is to represent the people of his district. An issue of importantance to him is the landfill.

Riggs is a member of WATCH and says he is opposed to PCB's being dumped in the landfill. Riggs will represent District D.
