Joaquin Benoit recorded his second save. Alex Rios' homer was ruled a double but was overturned for a two-run shot. Kevin Youkilis added a solo jack for Chicago, which has lost five in-a-row. Phil Humber allowed six runs in three innings for the loss.

(St. Louis, MO) -- The St. Louis Cardinals finished off a three-game sweep of the Chicago Cubs with a 7-0 win in the series finale. St. Louis outscored Chicago 23-1. Matt Holliday hit his 16th homer and Carlos Beltran cracked his 21st, while John Jay was 4-for-4 with two RBI. Lance Lynn moved to 12-and-4, dealing six shutout innings with five strikeouts. Bryan LaHair was 2-for-4 with a stolen base for the Cubs. Travis Wood was tagged with the loss, allowing seven runs and nine hits in six innings.

(Detroit, MI) -- The Chicago White Sox acquired right-hander Brett Myers from the Houston Astros on Saturday for a pair of pitching prospects and a player to be named later. The White Sox gave up Matt Heidenreich and Blair Walters to get Myers, who has 19 saves in 21 opportunities this season. Heidenreich is 9-and-4 with a 3.95 ERA. Walters is 4-and-6 with a 3.96 ERA. Heidenreich will be assigned to Double-A Corpus Christi and Walters will go to Single-A Lancaster.
