NFL: Bears Acquire Price; Put Knox On PUP; Camp Update

(Lake Forest, IL) -- The Chicago Bears have acquired defensive tackle Brian Price from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for an undisclosed 2013 draft pick. Price, the 35th overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, started 14 of the 15 games he played last season and 14 of the 20 in his career. The 6-foot-1, 303-pound UCLA alum registered 24 tackles and three sacks in 2011.

(Bourbonnais, IL) -- The Chicago Bears have placed wide receiver Johnny Knox on the physically unable to perform list as he continues to rehab from back surgery. Knox said there is still no timetable for his full recovery. Knox suffered a fractured vertebra which reacquired surgery on December 18th in a game against the Seattle Seahawks.

The Bears held their first training camp practice yesterday afternoon at Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais. Chicago's first preseason game is on Thursday, August 9th in the Windy City against Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos.
