From Camp Osage to Y-Zone to swim team the Y in Clinton offers numerous programs to the community.

Through the support of generous community members the Y is able to deny no one the benefits of
the Y's programs based on financial limitations. It is called the "Strong Kids Campaign", and Jann
Martin Executive Director of the Y wants to thank corporate entities as well as individuals that
pledged this year and helped them surpass their goal of ninety-thousand dollars.

The "Strong Kids Campaign" is a national program that provided nearly 1.2 million dollars in
scholarships and program subsidies last year allowing thousands of kids, otherwise unable to afford
the program, to attend. And each tax-deductible dollar contributed goes directly to making Y
programs and membership available to those in need.

Martin also announced that the Y will be closed from August 27 through September 3 for
shutdown, as they will be draining the pool for maintenance and waxing floors that wouldn't be able
to be done during normal operation. She also mentioned that after Labor Day they will be extending
some of their hours. To find out more or how you can become of member of the Clinton Y you can
call them at 935-8307.
