Senator Durbin says America is a stronger place since President Obama took office four years ago, but it's still not where it needs to be.  He says President Obama won't turn his back on those who are still struggling.

Senator Dick Durbin says President Obama has made tough decisions to protect the rights of all Americans.  He compares it to President Abe Lincoln's challenges with the Emancipation Proclamation.

Durbin spoke just before President Obama at the Democratic National Convention last night.  He says the President's commitment to justice is still worth fighting for.  Durbin touted accomplishments on saving the auto industry, passing healthcare reform, ending "don't ask, don't tell" for homosexual service members, and making the DREAM Act a reality.
