Inmate Sues Doctor For Pain And Suffering

A former inmate at the Jacksonville Correctional Center is suing a doctor at the prison for alleged pain and suffering he incurred while incarcerated.  The four-count lawsuit was filed by a Park Ridge attorney on Friday on behalf of Mentor Kadrin.  It alleges that a prison doctor refused to provide Kadrin with medications that had been prescribed to him before he was locked up.  The lawsuit also alleges the prison doctor neglected to send Kadrin to Passavant Area Hospital as scheduled so he could have tests on his kidneys.  According to the suit, Kadrin developed kidney cancer and suffered intense pain and suffering.  He?s asking for more than 50-thousand dollars in damages.  The doctor is no longer employed at the facility.
