Report: Jordan Taking Different Approach With 'Cats

Charlotte Bobcats owner and NBA legend Michael Jordan is reportedly taking a more hands-off approach when it comes to running the team.  According to "ESPN The Magazine," Jordan has promised to allow general manager Rich Cho and the rest of the front office staff to do their jobs without his shadow looming over them.  The piece cites a rival GM in the Eastern Conference who says the Bobcats will either succeed or fail with Cho's decisions.

According to the report, the 49-year-old Jordan is now focused on repairing damage between the team and the city of Charlotte.  The 'Cats set the NBA record for the worst single-season winning percentage in NBA history after going 7-and-59 last year.  Charlotte has named Mike Dunlap head coach, acquired guard Ben Gordon, and drafted forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist during the offseason.
