Bassmasters Tournament Coming To Decatur

Several thousand people are expected to converge on Decatur later this week.

The Basmmaster Toyota Trucks All-Star Week will roll into town this Thursday through Sunday. Michael Mulone from BASS says anglers will compete for a $100-thousand prize. He says this is beyond a fishing tournament though, as the weekend will feature plenty of family fun.

This is the first time this event has been held in Illinois, and Mulone feels this is going to be a great location. He feels Illinois has some great areas for fishing and he adds there are many passionate people in this area for the outdoors.

The competition will start out on Lake Shelbyville Thursday and Friday and then move to Lake Decatur on Saturday. Mulone notes Clinton Lake is currently Plan B should Lake Decatur be closed, but he is hopeful Lake Decatur will be available to be fished on.
