>>White Sox Trim Tigers To Pad AL Central Lead

(Chicago, IL)  --  Omar Infante's throwing error on a potential double play relay let the tying and go-ahead runs score as the White Sox trimmed the Tigers, 5-4.  Alex Rios took out Infante with a hard slide that led to the errant throw and helped Chicago extend its AL Central lead to three games over Detroit.  Dewayne Wise went 3-for-5 with two RBI for the Sox.  Nate Jones got the win in relief and Addison Reed his 27th save.  Delmon Young had two hits and drove in three for the Tigers, who blew 3-0 and 4-3 leads.  Doug Fister allowed all five runs in four-plus frames to suffer the loss.
