There will be a ribbon cutting for a new education center Wednesday in Decatur.
The new state-of-the-art National Sequestration Education Center for Richland Community College will have its dedication Wednesday at 1 pm. There will be a program at that time also.
The center was created by Archer Daniels Midland in partnership with the school because carbon capture utilization and storage holds great promise as part of a comprehensive strategy for reducing the release of carbon dioxide to the atmosphere according to the College. The hope is that it will be used for education training and outreach events.
