Logan Ondrusek was credited with the win. Jonathan Broxton earned his fourth save. Alfonso Soriano belted a two-run homer for Chicago. Alberto Cabrera took the loss.

(St. Louis, MO) -- David Freese clubbed a two-run homer to back six-and-a-third scoreless innings from Lance Lynn as the Cardinals cruised to a 5-0 win over the Astros. Lynn fanned five and allowed just three hits with two walks to improve to 16-and-7 on the season. Jason Motte registered the final two outs to nail down his 37th save. Yadier Molina popped a solo homer, while Matt Holliday and Allen Craig each knocked in a run for St. Louis, which has won three games in-a-row. Lucas Harrell gave up three runs during five-and-two-third frames to suffer the loss for Houston.
