Cubs Rally To Beat Cardnials In Extras

(Chicago, IL)  --  Darwin Barney hit a game-tying, two-run homer in the ninth and David DeJesus singled in the game-winner in the 11th as the Cubs rallied past the Cardinals, 5-4.  Barney also had an RBI single and DeJesus finished with four hits as Chicago won the opener of the three-game set at Wrigley Field.  Alberto Cabrera got the win in relief, while Joe Kelly took the loss.  Chris Carpenter was in line in the win for St. Louis after pitching five innings of two-run ball in his season debut.  He had been out all year after having surgery for a nerve issue in his neck.  Pete Kozma stole home in defeat.
