Norris scattered two hits and no walks en route to improving to 6-and-13. Wilton Lopez got the final five outs for his eighth save. Jose Altuve hit a solo homer to help Houston salvage the finale of the three-game set. The Astros played at home for the final time as a member of the National League. Chris Carpenter allowed both runs in six innings to take the loss. The Cards have a three-and-a-half-game lead on the Brewers and Dodgers for the final NL Wild Card spot.

(Denver, CO) -- Charlie Blackmon hit a solo homer and scored twice as the Rockies blanked the Cubs, 6-0. Chris Nelson added two hits and two RBI for the Rockies, who have won the first two in the three-game set and three straight overall. Drew Pomeranz scattered three hits in five innings to improve to 2-and-9. Jason Berken allowed all six runs in only four innings to fall to 0-and-2. Chicago has dropped eight of its last nine games.

(Chicago, IL) -- The Indians put up a run in each of the sixth, seventh and eighth innings to pull out a 6-4 win over the White Sox. Carlos Santana walked in the tying run in the sixth and Shin-Soo Choo's groundout plated the go-ahead run in the seventh. Vinny Rottino added a solo homer in the eighth for the Tribe, which finished 3-and-3 on its six-game road trip. Tony Sipp picked up his first win and Chris Perez closed it out for his 38th save. A.J. Pierzynski and Alexei Ramirez doubled in a run each for the White Sox, who have lost seven-of-eight to fall one game behind Detroit for first place in the AL Central. Matt Thronton fell to 4-and-9 with the loss.
