Clinton Chamber Soon To Seek Nominations For Christmas Parade Grand Marshall

The Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce will soon be seeking nominations for their annual Christmas Parade.

Even though it is only the beginning of October, the Chamber is encouraging residents to begin thinking about who they would like to nominate. Executive Director of the Clinton Chamber, Marian Brisard explains this is an annual event the Chamber hosts each year, and it is not hard to make a nomination.

The Christmas parade gone under a rather large change for 2012. Traditionally the parade takes place on a Wednesday night, however, the Chamber Board has decided the "Light Up The Night" parade will now be on a Saturday afternoon. Brisard says this is a change they have contemplated for a long time and it will end a 20 plus year run on being in the evening.

The Chamber is not yet taking those applications for their "Grand Marshall" of the parade, however, Brisard says it is not too early to begin thinking on who residents would like to nominate.
