Two Teens Charged With Murder In Peoria Shooting

Authorities in central Illinois have charged two 15-year-old boys with first-degree murder in connection with a fatal shooting during an alleged robbery last week.

Peoria County State's Attorney Jerry Brady charged the boys Sunday. A third juvenile also was arrested Sunday, although he hasn't been officially charged with murder.

Authorities contend the three teens approached Michael Robinson and Perry Mollohan on the rear porch of Mollohan's home Wednesday night. Both men were shot in the head.

Robinson was pronounced dead at the scene, while Mollohan was shot in the eye but survived.

In 1977, Robinson was convicted in the beating death of Bradley University religion professor Domenic Volturno. He spent almost 30 years in prison before being released in 2007.
