Corruption Widespread In Illinois Prisons

Governor Quinn is clueless when it comes to what's really going on inside state prisons.  That's according to State Senator John O. Jones, who says corruption is running rampant within the system.

Jones says if Quinn fires DOC Director S.A. Godinez, some of the corruption may go out the door with him.

Jones says people are holding onto their jobs even after they've been charged with crimes themselves.

Jones says he got his information straight from a former warden.  That warden doesn't want to be identified because he still has friends and family working in the system and he doesn't want prison officials retaliating against them.   Jones says he's already talked to someone in Quinn's administration but they have not addressed the problem.   Quinn and DOC officials have been criticized recently because they refuse to allow reporters into the prisons.
