'Drive One For Your School' Back Again In Clinton

An annual event tied in with Homecoming weekend in Clinton takes place once again.

 width=The annual "Drive One For Your School" through the Ford Motor Company is beinging brought back through Anderson Ford in Clinton this year. President of the Clinton Athletic Boosters, Brian Ennis explains this is a fundraiser for the Boosters, and they could raise up to $8-thousand between the event Friday and Saturday.

This is a program that not every school gets the opportunity to take advantage of. Ennis thanks Anderson Ford owner Randy Anderson for his hard work to bring this program back to the Clinton Community and also to keep it at two day event.

The funds raised from the Drive One For Your School promotion go to help the athletic programs not just at the high school level, but the district wide programs. Ennis says they have been involved in helping get some bigger items for the district, but also smaller ones as well.

'Drive One For Your School' is one of the bigger fundraisers for the Boosters. This is the 4th year for the fundraiser and Ennis says the first couple of years they fell short of their goal, but as the event has grown in popularity they have done better and better each year.
