The Clinton Maroons are licking their chops as a struggling Decatur St. Teresa team comes to Clinton for Homecoming 2012. St. T is just 1-5 on the season, and is 0-2 in Okaw Valley Black play. Clinton comes in at 1-5 as well and is coming off a 46-35 loss to Shelbyville last Friday while St. T was handed a 49-21 loss from Unity. >>Monticello Hosts Unity For Homecoming
It can fairly be stated, tonight's Unity at Monticello football game could determine this year's Okaw Valley Black conference champion. Both teams have wrapped up a shot at the playoffs with a 5-1 record. Both teams feature a high powered offenense, at 1 & 2 in the Okaw Black division, and only trail Central A & M in the entire Okaw. However, Unity's defense has given up almost twice as many points as Monticello (126-60). The Sages have yet to beat Scott Hamilton's Unity Rocket's in Coach Cullen Welter's tenure at Monticello or won the Okaw Valley Conference since 1991 and the argument could be made, this is their best shot to get that first victory over Unity.
