DeLeon says Y-Zone is a great way for kids to learn social interaction as well as a way to accomplish homework before going home. The environment is positive and safe which Deleon also feels is a great asset to the program. He says Y-Zone also provides major assistance to parents, who can go to work without having to worry about what their children are doing.

DeLeon explains children can be dropped off before school from 6:30 until 7:45. After school is just as structured as before school at Y-Zone. There are snacks, games and homework time to keep the kids occupied and stimulated. DeLeon feels the greatest benefit of the Y-Zone program are the character traits and values that can be learned.
