CHS Interact Club Developing Leadership Skills In Youth

A group within Clinton High School serves as a way for students to volunteer and be active in the community.

The Interact Club at Clinton High School serves as a way for students to be active and volunteer within the community. The Club is sponsored by the local Auxilary and Rob DeLeon from the Clinton YMCA is the sponsor who works with the students at the high school. He explains the club sets up at least ten projects and work with several organizations around the community.

Hayden Kauffman is the President of the high school Interact Club. He says the club has taught him a great deal about leadership. As a Sophomore, Kauffman leads the weekly meetings and helps decide what service projects to take part in.

DeLeon says the club provides a great opportunity for kids, such as Kauffman to gather leadership skills for the next level in their lives. DeLeon credits Kauffman for having the respect of his peers, in being the club's leader as just a sophomore.

The Clinton High School Interact Club will be hosting a special fundraiser at the final football game, this Friday. Regional Radio News will have what the fundraiser is and who it is for later this week.
