The Magill Hotel on the downtown Clinton Square has been transformed over the past several years thanks to the efforts of the DeWitt County Restoration Association.
The DCRA could not have done the things they have, or gotten the historic building where it is without the help and generosity of many volunteers. DCRA Chair Becky Adams says they are very grateful for the many people who have stepped up to support their many efforts to raise money and support.

While many individuals have stepped up to lend a helping hand or make a monetary donation, several businesses have given of their time and equipment to the continued progress of the Magill Hotel. Adams says amongst many businesses, Danny Ballenger and Pam and Rodney Rogers are just a few of many who have given of their businesses supplies, time and equipment.

Several years ago as the process of fundraising began for the DCRA, Adams explains there was not a lot of support. She says a small group in the Clinton community had some misconceptions about their goals for the building and where the money was coming from. She says over the past years as the home has made progress and begun to look better, the resistance toward their efforts has declined.

Adams says there are many, many more volunteers who have done work on the inside of the building painting, and hanging dry wall and many other things to begin the transformation process.
Adams thanks all the local businesses that have stepped to help in whatever they have done.
